MIST is committed to providing valuable skills and competencies to its students to function effectively in the workplace. In order to carry out this mission, students are expected to demonstrate high level of academic and professional integrity in their works, interactions, association in the pursuit of knowledge through learning and research. Students are also expected to be the sole authors of their works, but provide citation and references for the use of the materials and ideas of others. Failure to adhere to the academic integrity principle constitutes academic fraud, Plagiarism. At MIST, Plagiarism is defined to include copyright and trade mark infringements. Re-submission of prior graded work is against the principle of academic integrity. Disciplinary action shall be taken if any student violates the academic integrity and honesty rule.

Valuable resources are provided students to necessitate their success at the institute, such as the Turnitin and materials on Academic Writing Strategies among other resources. The Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (APA) online version is made available to students to enhance their academic writing skills. APA style guide provided will help students to learn proper ways to cite, format, and reference to avoid plagiarism.
