The Madina Institute of Science and Technology (MIST) is a technology and innovation oriented Liberal Arts institution founded on Islamic values of honesty, sincerity, hard work, and integrity. It was founded and commissioned by Madina Foundation of Science & Technology (MFST) to provide access to high quality education through teaching, research, and mentorship to empower graduates to provide solutions to everyday problems in communities.

The institute is envisaged by the founders to serve as a vehicle through which complex research is initiated and undertaken to inspire progressive change.
The admission requirements to the Madina Institute of Science and Technology are as follows:
Holders of the General Certificate of Education / School Certificate of the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) with credit passes in, at least, 5 subjects at the Ordinary Level.
Qualify in terms of the entry requirements stated. Accept to abide by the rules and regulations of the Institute. Pay appropriate fees as required. A student who does not hold an award granted by the Government of Ghana or a reputable institution shall be required to settle all approved fees during or before registration.
Admission to programmes at MIST is based solely on qualification according to the requirements as outlined by the National Council for Tertiary Education (NCTE), National Accreditation Board (NAB) and the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).
There is a one-storey block for each Faculty programme at. The block has four spacious lecture halls with large marker-boards. Each lecture hall is provided with equipment for power-point presentations. Each lecture hall is well-lit and well-ventilated. There are enough offices for all faculty staff in the block.
